F-Class - Sinclair bipod discontinued

I have both the 1st & 2nd generation Sinclair. WILL NOT be buying the next !! Love the 2nd and have thought about having a machinist friend modify the 1st. Probably too much time & trouble but I'm having him look at it.

It'd be really nice to have a way to upgrade my older bipod, but it's pretty hard for me to get indignant about it if I can't.

Are businesses obligated to provide inexpensive upgrades to existing customers whenever they improve or innovate?

Sheesh, tough crowd.

No, of course not. Backward compatibility is not guaranteed in almost any product. Sinclair chose to redesign for the characteristics most customers were requesting, lower weight and height adjustment. When I bought my present bipod, I knew what it was and felt it was worth the price. The new design has some improvements and may be worth buying to obtain them. If those features are not worth the price, don't buy one. The older design can probably be sold at some discount, recouping part of the cost.

We are in complete agreement!

Of course they (Sinclair) are not obligated to retro any prior products.

However, that being said, it would be nice for them to offer an upgrade to the customers that bought their premier version and helped them market it to all the other shooters who said, "is that the new Sinclair bi-pod?, I need to get one of those".

Anyone that has worked in business knows how far good will goes to keep and maintain loyal customers. Having been there and done that for 25 plus years, sometimes giving the customer a break or unexpected discount meant 10 fold in business down the road.

Sometimes businesses can't see the forest for the trees...my 2 cents. Now I feel better...
