Hi Shooters,
Shooting USA just sent me a preview of the F-Class show they filmed at the Elk River Sportsman's Club for the MN Mid-Range F-Class State Championship in July. They did a great job describing what MR F-Class is, the distinctions between disciplines, equipment, etc. The show will air on the Outdoor Channel Oct. 23. Watch for show times!

This was a great opportunity to showcase rifle shooting and the sport of F-Class. If you like the show, please send a note to Shooting USA encouraging them to do more stories like this.

Thanks,
Scott

That's great to hear. It was an awesome Event, you guys at ERSC did a phenomenal job setting up and running it

now I kinda wish I had cable.......

Just put the date on my calendar. We all need to do what we can to promote the positive and responsible use of firearms in competition and in the field. Thanks for getting Shooting USA involved in reporting your event. Can't wait for the broadcast.

Wathced the show, twice. ;) Well done. FWIW and for those interested, ShootingUSA has a store that will sell you the ERSC event on DVD for $9.95 delivered.

It was a nice profile of what we do.

Early on Jim made a point of comparing the 600 yard x-ring to a hockey puck. He then reinforced that point by having one in his hand and restating the fact when they came back from break. He also explained the shot in terms non-shooters could understand (e.g. Third of a mile).

I like the way they spoke about levels of equipment and gave time to the new shooter that was competing with a used/unknown round count Savage 12. You don't need to mortgage your house to compete and that is key for new shooters.

Hopefully they will continue to show F-Class on future episodes.

kinda still hinted that you must have the top of line equipment to be competitive. But still was cool to see it talk about it on national tv and my wife got a better idea of what it is and how we shoot
