F-class at Camp Perry

So, now that the mid range and long range Nationals at Camp Perry are open to F-class shooters, which will be your National Championship? Do you think that a separate and different F only National Championship is the way to go or do you think that the one combined with the sling shooters will become "the one". I always thought that the separate Championship was pretty cool because you got to do more shooting than you will at Perry and the different venues was nice too. But there is the history of Perry. So, what do you think?

For this year the F class nationals will be at Raton. And I've heard that at the Berger nationals it was announced that next year it would be at Ben Avery. So it is going to be a few years before it could conceivably be moved to Camp Perry for the long-range.

The way that F class is growing there're very few ranges left in the country that can host a national. I think we're just going to have to wait a couple years and see what happens

Lots of challenges to solve before holding an F-Class Long Range National Championship at Camp Perry. It may happen at some point, but in my opinion 2014 & 2015 at Ben Avery is a much better choice. The dates will be the last few days of October and first days of November, great time of the year to shoot in Phoenix. If you've attended the Berger SW Nationals you've seen how smoothly they run big matches, nobody does it better. I live 3 hours from Camp Perry, but I also realize at this point Ben Avery is a better choice.

If F class is ever at Camp Perry I really hope we get our own week. We currently shoot two days of 3x15 at 1000 a team day with two team matches and 2x20 on the last day. At Camp Perry we get 4x15 over 3 days. We have it much better right now. I live 8 hours from Camp Perry in TN and 16 from Raton; I haven;t looked at the numbers but I'm betting it's over 24 hours of driving to Ben Avery

I was with Mid Tompkins out in Raton for a while last week and I believe he said end of October... He did not give any specific dates, though.
