Endoscope/Borescope

At a shooting match recently a shooter was showing pictures on his phone that he took of the inside of his .223 barrel. The pic was very good, he took the pics with an endoscope he purchased on Ebay for less than $20.00. Has anyone used one of these I see them with a lense diameter of 5.5mm, I'm questioning whether they will go down the barrel?

I have 1. Works well but mine needs something to reflect the light off of to get decent pics. I use a 3/16" wooden dowel with the end painted white to reflect the light.

It's not as good as Hawkeye but it's good enough to tell me what I want to know.

There was a pretty long thread on these a couple months ago in the general forum. I did picked one of these up and uploaded some videos on youtube. They can help you determine if your barrel still has copper in them but I can't tell what condition the throat is

I bought several, at least 6 of them. I kept 2 that were 5mm, one 30 degree, and one 70 degree. I use a small diameter cord that has just a maglite bulb on the end of it. stuff it in from the muzzel end and scope from the chamber end. You can see every thing you need with the two angles I have. My scopes are about 12' long so you can scope without taking the action out of the stock.
