So the Ad says you just plug it into a cell phone, tablet or laptop. I was born in the night, but not last night, so I know there is A LOT more to it than that. I believe you have to download an App.

Anybody gone this route for a bore scope?
How much more is involved?
Is the App free?
Is there anything on youtube?
These things are 10 bucks, how good can they be?

I bought one about a year ago. It had no Clarity at all, I sent it back immediately.

I am using something similar. Not sure if it is the exact same thing. I have had it for more than a year. Yes I did have to download a app to use it. Mine has a removable 45 degree mirror. With the mirror on it just barely fits inside my 6.5mm barrel. It works well for my purposes. The picture is good enough to see if the grooves are clean, but not so clear as to see fine detail.

For the 10 bucks I paid it was well worth it.
