Electric Cars -- anyone own one?

Not so sure an emp will wipe out all electronics.
Looks like it depends on how far your are away you are and then it might not cause the cars electronics any problems.

First pulse(3 total) of a HEMP is line of sight radius damage. Power grid, communications, most micro circuit electronics gone by the time 3rd pulse is over. We will be living in 17-1800's style within weeks. Safe water will be the first priority, food. Personal safety will follow as those with(water, food, transportation) will be targeted. Vehicles without computer controlled systems may still run(some with will also). Avoid dangerous situations for a month, most of the stupid and unlucky will be out of the population by then. Disease will be a long term survival issue.

Electric vehicles might have been a great option if someone was actually intelligent about planning the transition. Unfortunately that is not the case. I'm interested in what might happen when the rest of the world quits buying US debt totally and we are drowning in inflation. Or when we actually have to go to battle with a woke military. I can't believe what I am seeing today. But, I do have faith that God is in control of it all, so I'm hanging on to Him.

And now there's info about the Ford EV pickup that burned a short time back. Not much mentioned by Ford but, they stopped production till they figured out WHY??? Think it could have been a battery problem??? Funny that Ford didn't want to say too much about that?:confused:;)

Now that spring is here, the son's Bolt is absolutely practical for their use. They continue to use the Sonata for long trips and a diesel pickup for towing. Speaking of diesel pickups, I just spent 177.00 to fill mine up. It will take two more fill-ups to haul the new little excavator home, then the pickup can sit for a while. I hear the politicians blathering about the price of gasoline but it is diesel that does all the work and that's where highest cost is. Pick-up, dump truck, digger, skid steer, and tractor, all burn diesel. I can't imagine how much is burned to mine the material for those batteries! WH

Little kids do it. They dont run on diesel.

Yup! You need a truck built in the ‘70s.
Nope. Won’t run either.
Now a 70’s diesel is another story.
Mechanical fuel pump and mechanical injection pump.
Just have to get the sucker started.
Warm enough to fire up without glow plugs and a nice downhill run.
