Electric Cars -- anyone own one?

I have worked (and played) with German made Hydrogen generators turning distilled water in hydrogen and oxygen gas!!!! The mini torch tip can blow a clean, very small hole in ceramic tile!!! Had to cool the burn by adding acetone!!! Alcohol did not cool the flame enough!!!

Hydrogen will be the future of vehicle propulsion!!! Mixed with ethanol (grain crop based) to cool the combustion temperate!!! Pure O and H gases burn too hot!!
There are auto companies working on developing functional hydrogen powered cars. EV's are certainly one alternative currently and makes sense for some.

I'm sticking with gasoline powered cars and trucks for now, but I don't question there may be other means in the future. I also have no doubt fossil fuel will end at some point. There is a limited amount of oil and when it's gone, it's gone. It took millions of years to become oil and it's being used faster now than it will be replace.

I’m still waiting for an answer from Tesla and Rivian before I decide which one I buy stock in, then a truck.

Boss will make me a mount for their 9’ plow, but I need at least about 4 hours of plow time and no more than 1 hour recharge time in sub zero temps. Both Rivian and Tesla said that was not a realistic expectation “currently”.

None of the engineers at either company could tell me the difference in expected range when plowing with a V compared to a fixed blade on slant, or different water/weight content for cold season powder vs start/end season tree snapping snow. It’s like they don’t want you to use their trucks like a truck or something.

Maybe I’ll just invest in crying towels. They seam to be moving off the shelves a lot quicker than a Tesla these days.

Until it doesn't. Just ask the Japanese about their experience after January 1990.

Thankfully markets are showing they can constrain Trump to a degree from burning the US down. There's already a ton of smoke damage which will take a long time to repair.
During the Biden Years, the Stock market was just about the only economic bright spot.

During that, inflation, interest rates, energy prices, and general malaise among average Americans was pretty bleak.

Perhaps by inspiring Corporations to actually start manufacturing products inside the USA just might result in a strong Dow and a financially prospers populous.

The problem arises when we have people who hate President Trump to the extent that they would rather see the Country fail rather than help him get things done.

Whatever else the considerations, making stuff here or elsewhere has zero to do with the Dow…..never has, never will.
40 years ago, we made more stuff here….Dow was about 1000. Today we make less stuff here…..Dow is 40,000. Not much of a connection.
