I don't think so but it is much more temp stable than CFE and BLC.Just wondering if AR Comp contains any ingredients that decrease or remove copper fouling similair to CFE223 or others. Also, if it does contain these ingredients, does it leave a brownish/black soot in the bore after firing like CFE223 does?
Thanks Guys!

That's why I am asking, because I saw the "C" on Quickload, but can't find it anywhere on Alliant's websiteI think it does because in Quickload there is a C* besides the powder name, indicating it contains at least a little bit of copper reducing additive.
And NO... Unlike a regular reloading manual, the C* in Quickload doesn't mean "Compressed".
Yes it comes out like a gray mud. Very easy to clean but takes a bit to get back in there so you may can go longer between cleanings- at least thats the point, to get that layer on thereDoes the gray residue remove easily with common solvents and patching?
I know the soot is removed fairly easily when using CFE223 and RL16. I would hope it would be easily removed from AR Comp as well.Does the gray residue remove easily with common solvents and patching?
I have never used it and I'm trying to find a accurate powder to use in my new 223 bolt and 224 Valkyrie. My new 223 bolt rifle tends to accumulate copper quickly. If a powder has something in it to help control the buildup, it counts as a definite plus to me. I'm also moving over to the school of thought where I won't clean my bore on my F-class rifles until they start dropping points. The longer I can go before cleaning, the better. Not being snarky, who cares if it does ? I use it and it works well for me , I don’t care if it does or doesn’t.
Serious question, why does it matter ? If the load works use it and it doesn’t , don’t . I mean IMR 4895 & 4064 doesn’t have it and I use those as well . If AR-comp shot like crap for me I wouldn’t care how much copper removing abilities it had .
From my experience, that layer does allow more shooting and less cleaning. I went from cleaning after every match, to cleaning about every 200-240 rounds or so.Yes it comes out like a gray mud.
