After sanding, I applied true oil then sprayed the stock with Spray Max 2K clear glamour.

Not as refined as some of the wood on here, but I wanted a Monte Carlo cheekpiece for the wildcat Marlin I built.

Cool!Thank you
Not to derail the thread, but I'm calling it the 38-56 Improved. It's a 45-70 case blown straight and necked to .375. I'm getting just shy of 2300fps with a 275gr mono.

What action? I might have some Remingtons and Tikkas.Thought I’d pass this on.
I needed to open up a barrel channel today. Got to thinking about the bucket of barrel cut offs I have, and thought why not. I misplaced (lost outright) my bedding tool a few years ago.
Measured the barrel I needed to open up for, and rooted around the bucket until I found a couple the right diameter. Wrapped sandpaper around the cut off and sanded until it was right. Works pretty well with smooth strokes. A 2-2.5” piece of barrel works pretty well. Just fold the sandpaper over at the right length and then tear and wrap.
Now if I can just find some action screws…
Appreciate the offer. What action? I might have some Remingtons and Tikkas.
