Different cases will not chamber

Get it figured out and come back and learn about lee collet dies, bushings and bushing dies competition shell holders, bumping shoulders, trickle charging all the good stuff

Get your head spinning again .lol

Also there are times a small base die is needed.if your full length sizer isn't getting job done .my Tikka with my x brand die will not size down enough even once fired cases from another rifle.had to buy small base die ? Idk maybe another die brand would work idk.
You gotta figure that out just like I did
I didn't need Internet just did it cause I have read reloading manuals my entire life.its easy after you've handloaded for years

Man honestly start by reading 3-4 reloading manuals.....................

You need enough education to start with.do it by the book .like anything the book will be your Bible like anything else in this world.

Not trying to be a butt at all but this stuff is getting lost by Internet .you got to much going on

Time to take a step back to basics.
Skip internet and read 3-4 manuals for next several months.i have to help people like this all the time.

You tube isn't the way to start hand loading

The op mentioned the seating die is set 1/8 turn above the shell holder. My standard type seating die are all set 1 turn above an empty CASE mouth, ram all the way up. Very easy to expand(crush) the case body/shoulder junction when seating bullets with a seating die body set to low in the press.

For my 6BRA cases, I have both Alpha and Lapua. I have to size them separately and adjust the die accordingly because they have different a sprinback, even though both are annealed every time. BUT, I size them both to the same size as indicated by my comparator. For me it's not as simple as 0.002" bump from fired, so I found the size that gets me a slight firm bolt close (last 1/4 of bolt swing), then I bumped an additional 0.0005" until the bolt closed with no resistance. THEN I bump 0.002". For both Lapua and Alpha those dimensions are the same, but I do have to adjust my die differently to get those numbers depending on which brand of brass. And the amount of cam-over on the die comes into play for me as well - it allows for 0.0005" steps to dial in the headspace number I'm going for.
For my 7mm-08, I had to surface grind a set of Redding Comp shell holders to under the standard 0.125" height (in 0.0006" steps) in order to get the bump I needed with Lapua, but use a +0.002 comp holder with Alpha to achieve this.

I'd avoid nickel cases for multiple reasons unless I were out of options.

Nickle cases are 'one and done' for me.

'Oh, Crap!' Pocket gun brass for me. And that's it.
Same here. Got rid of all my nickle plated rifle brass over 20yrs ago.
