Difference between wipe-out tactical advantage and patch out?

I always avoided abrasives, right up until I bought an early Lyman bore scope. For most of my shooting career, I always believed that clean white patches exiting the barrel was a sure sign that the bore was squeaky clean.

IME carbon has always been extremely hard to remove. I run several wet patches of BT C4 down the barrel every few hours and then let it sit overnight. Brass brushing in the morning still doesn't remove it all. However, using some Flitz or JB will remove the carbon after an overnight soak.

How is the result on target after you discovered the borescope?

Tried a variation of D Coots routine on my 6 PPC which has nearly a thousand rounds down the tube.
Couple wet patches of Tactical Advantage immediately after last group at range. Followed by 15 strokes with bronze brush and TA, then 15 strokes with Accelerator, let sit overnight.
Wet patch, then a few dry patches the next afternoon, followed by the same routine of wet patches and brushing with TA and Accelerator, let sit overnight again. Ran the bore scope down the barrel before the second application and there was just a few small spots of the heavier carbon at the end of the throat.
Same routine for a third day, when I patched it out yesterday, first patch had just a small bit of carbon, then clean patches.

Approximately a 1/2” in from the throat after 3 applications of TA and Accelerator and overnight soaks.

Barrel was spotless 2” in from the throat after initial application, and there was a minimal difference between the 2nd and 3rd applications. Other than 40 X cleaner, which will take it down to bare metal, I haven’t found anything that does better, and I have tried the majority of the highly touted and recommended solvents that aren’t abrasive oriented. Your mileage may vary.

Are 3rd and 4th pics down taken when finished?
Just looks like those could use some more carbon removed.

Yes finished.
Only way that I can get the baked on carbon out of the first inch is with abrasives. With other solvents it looks worse and extends further down the barrel. Just my experiences.
