Thanks Pres.
I cleaned at the beginning of each string.
Barrel only had 10 rounds on it when I started..
AR-Comp seemed to be pretty dirty.
Got like 2x as many black patches on AR- Comp than 16 or Varget.
Twice as much elbow grease. Loads of velocity for sure but im not feelen the love....I like clean...
But its only a ladder....

I did not see any pressure out of any of these loads...No funny looken primers or tight bolt lifts..

Reloader 16.
I have two 50 round reloading blocks from Sinclair.
I charge the cases with powder and then put the other reloading block on top of the other and hold it
togeather like a samwitch.
Touch it off on my old Lyman turbo tumbler and the stuff settles righr now
No 3 foot long drop tubes.Thank you very much....

Comming up
3 Shot groups and seating test at 500.

dave

Ar Comp is not dirty, that is the decoppering agent.

Sinclair tool. Calipers zeroed with tool installed. Insert is Sinclair standard 24.

If thats Alliant Powders version of a decoppering agent.
They could have saved people alot of work if they would have just run Tubb Dust instead.
So far I have run the Dust on 4 different powders and not had to work as hard on any of them.
As i did getting the Comp stuff out.

What does the "O" stand for? Touching the lands or ?

Zero on the lands.
I like to start there for a ladder.
Looking at the loading data for that new powder i'd be shocked if I had enough room to make it work.
The Hodgdon reloading center already list Staball for the Dasher.
36.9 for 2943 out of a 30 inch barrel.
My impression is that Rel 16 is a tad faster than H4350
And that Staball is a tad slower than H4350.
im thinking I would have a hard time getting enough of it in the Dasher case to do much good.
Would not know for sure untill I got my hands on it.
But I can think of a few other places that It would shine.
My 6.5SLR being one.

Tubb says cleaning it out defeats the purpose. He told me to leave it and let it coat the bore.

People who want to get their barrels back to squeaky clean every time they shoot should avoid all decoppering agents and just clean the copper. Same thing seemed to be true with moly. The second the bore was nicely coated they wanted to clean it out because it looks black.

Decoppering agents are supposed to coat the bore, especially at the edges of the lands. That's kind of the point.

Dave, Township and I will be up sometime soon to discuss the merits of the 6BRA over the Dasher 1973F64D-B567-497D-87C0-7226730ED8E0.jpeg over a few Long Island Ice-T‘s Before the end of the night you’ll be whistling to the easy tune of a 6BRA:D

Thats funny, I shot barrels with 3000 rounds with old RL-15 and never had copper, unless at break in it would clean up right away...... jim

So, you do not clean a bore you have used Tubb Dust in?

Ultimately, everyone will have you test, test, test. What are you testing for? The smallest group, which translates to a constant bullet RPM. Don’t get me wrong, seating deaths and components all play into account. But ultimately the football doesn’t fly if it is not spun correctly.
