Hey, I bugged out just before the snow hit. Lucky. Most days windy to very windy (no surprise) and 1 calm day. I used a Rem 700 5R 223 1/9 tw and 53g Vmaxes out to over 500 yds-that day.

Some rain for sure. I drove through heavy rain from Bowman to Butte, MT. Glad I was out of there.

“Pretty comfortable”???........so you’re on the low side of 40??1 sleeping bag - and its carrots. I have a REI inflatable mat and its pretty comfortable. I keep my gear in plastic storage bins outside the truck and always covered with a well secured tarp @ p.m.

Well, they cry moan and wail like it does, but I've been here five years now and what they call winter I call mud season. And I measure "snowfall" by how many hours it takes to melt, and measure hysteria by how many inches of salt they put on the roads and sidewalks.
They simply have no concept of what an Upstate winter is, and I KNOW that is nothing compared to the places out west.
