Ditto, except for the razor blade, let it set over night.I remove my brakes and clean the crown and barrel after every range session. That said, my big boomers can acquire a mixture of carbon/powder fouling along with some vaporized copper on the crown that takes a little effort to remove. I usually soak a patch in Bore Tech and press it on the crown and let it remain there for 15-20 minutes and then give it a few rubs. It takes more than one patch but it will come off. If the carbon is really stubborn, you can use a razor blade held at a very shallow angle and carefully slice it off
