Re: Meet the Press

At 9mins 45secs, the host of this show openly commits a crime punishable by a $1,000 fine and/or one year in jail (according to what I've read) in Washington DC where it is illegal to possess a "large capacity ammunition feeding device means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition." Quoted from a good friend of mine, Mike Nelson. A follower and spring are readily restorable parts.

Re: Meet the Press

He// we all know their are laws for them and laws for the lower class. I did'nt realize how bad it really was until i started working for them 12 years ago. I can't wait to get out, it's sickning.

Re: Meet the Press

Let's keep this forum as a precision shooting forum. There are plenty of political venues to express an opinion.

If the management of this forum would like a 'political graffiti' room, they will form one, otherwise I prefer to discuss non-political shooting subjects.

Just saying. Thank you.

What's one more double standard now that the election's over?

OK, Charlie. You're right on target. ;) Sorry I got involved; I withdrew my piece.

Re: Meet the Press

If there were ever a time for gun owners to be talking about the subject of gun control...it's NOW! Go to Feinstein's website. There's a summary of here proposed bill. It's about gun registration of grandfathered weaponry and ceasing the manufacture of many, many more. Not much of substance when it comes to saving lives, but plenty about gun registration. And before anyone says it won't affect you, this bill is meant to strengthen the 1994 ban that also included threaded muzzles. That would include brakes(LR) and tuners on BR rigs.

Re: Meet the Press

What he did is illegal. We as shooters and gun owners must make sure our voice herd.He should be treated just like everyone that has done the same thing .Fine and time or what ever. How serious it is we must make sure he gets no less then anybody else. One thing more Pierce Morgan stated a AK 47 semi auto can 40 rounds per second I don't think that has ben addressed.

Note sent to Sen. Dianne Feinstein

You have probably heard by now that Sen. Dianne (its OK for me to have a gun, but not for you) Feinstein is on the gun control offensive. Here's a little note I sent her earlier today:

Sen. Feinstein,

I think your idea to fingerprint all handgun owners is a good first step, but does not go far enough. Gun owners should be publicly identified and shamed, so I propose the following:

Make all gun owners in America wear an embroidered patch of a handgun or an assault rifle on them at all times and to make sure they cannot hide, apply a tattoo of a handgun and their social security number on their forearms.

This worked very well to identify "undesirables" in a prominent European country back in the early 1940s.

Sincerely,

A government-fearing servant

Who cares... That crazy B is always throwing out stupid Soviet style ideas...

I doubt she wrote it... She can barely speak...

Re: Meet the Press

It now appears NBC was given "misinformation" from MPD about the 30 round magazine, according to the BATF. NBC was certainly flaunting with the law, but did nothing illegal. The magazine was empty. The information MPD gave them should have stated CAPABLE of holding more than 10 rounds rather than HOLDING more than 10 rounds. A paper bag can hold more than 10 rounds, but it isn't illegal in DC, unless it actually has more than 10 rounds in it. I don't care much for the media, but, they are not stupid.

A wing nut she is for sure ;)

With a B.A. in History from Stanford, she won't quite qualify as illiterate.
