CCI Primer packaging - annoying

Welcome to the channel!!! LOL
You should have known this would get away from you! This is wrong group during a ammo panic to complain about a quality problem, primers that are too securely wrapped. Everyone is going to take their turn at bat swinging at the "slow pitch".... dog piling is fun as long as you're not the guy at the bottom of the pile. Sorry

I'm remind of the episode of Cheers, where all the guys take Fraser on Snipe Hunt.

Diane to Fraser, "They are playing a childish prank on you."
Fraser to Diane, "A man doesn't crouch in the woods for 2 hours without having a revelation or two..."
Fraser, "It's what guys do... We screw each other to the wall...!!!"

Disregard the image below and click on the underlined link "Watch on YouTube" below in the box and it'll take you to the YouTube video of the ending of Snipe Hunt.

Don't worry bout me. I'm a big boy and am anything but new here.

Worry bout the folks that seem to think that we are landing airplanes here, and ppl might die. :)

Well - we are back in lockdown. So not only is my local gunshop closed - he hasn't got any LR primers or Match primers anyway. Nor tape possibly. If this lockdown continues, I will run out of things to load, the annealer will be finished, a new light in the loading shed, all the rifles cleaned and I will have to mow the lawn...again.

Yeah, I got to mow my lawn., and then... Somewhere there is a pig that needs killing and eating.

All of those neglected rifles that needed load development and case forming. It would almost be fun if it wasn't in the 94F feeling like 105F.

I understand you completely. I've lost more primers than that on a sneeze during opening of 100 that were not taped. Don't sweat the small stuff. One thing I like your threads are entertaining.
Thank you.
And page after page on each “entertaining” thread

When I first read this thread I thought it was an April fools/joke thread.

Let me guess, you are retired, and/or a baby boomer with too much time on your hands

When I first read your post, I thought "Here's a guy who finds joy and delight in trying to unweld primers from their packaging and having them fly off into the etherworld, never to be found again." (I personally do not enjoy that. Not a real big deal for me. A minor annoyance... it won't kill me, I don't believe. but still annoying. Its not like any of us go around looking for more annoyance to add to our lives....I mean...right??? )

SO I asked a VERY specific question.... "Do other ppl find their primer trays taped up?" Which like 85% of everyone else, you failed to answer. Instead, you post the above.

Lemme guess.... you do go around looking for more annoyances to add to your life ... :)

The primers were obtained from a Forum member, so there is no certainty they came from factory this way.

End of thread. As noted, almost nobody answered the inquiry.

I got these from a forum member who sold them to me... Not sure where he got them but these very much look a factory tape job covering the entire tray with a single piece of tape and carefully wrapped around the bottom edges of the tray
