I get that. Perhaps I'm a glutton for punishment. But I like to know why a problem occurs. Not probably why. Exactly why. How do we do that? By taking measurements.If I've learned anything from Dave in my years here...
1. Don't do anything to make the phone ring.
2. Embiggen your freebore diameter. (See #1)
A casting isn't going to give you a confident measurement in the tenths. Besides.. what difference does it make? It's tight. At best, a casting will confirm that it's tight. At worst, it will add chaos to confusion.
Open it up.
