Removing Carbon ??

I have tried about everything to remove carbon from my barrels. The only I have found to get it out is to scrub the bore with JB bore cleaner Or scrub it with Bore Bright. Is there ant easy way to do this?? I have tried 3 or 4 carbon remover chemicals and none of them the work at all. I just know scrubbing these barrels can't be good and has to be shorten the life of the barrels. Any help on this would be appreciated. Russ

A couple of questions.

How are you using JB. Patch? Patch on a brush? You can damage the barrel if not used properly.
What makes you think there is still carbon in the barrel?
What caliber and how many rounds on the barrel?

I use GunSlick Foaming bore cleaner with an overnight soak, followed by a good brushing using a slightly oversized nylon brush dipped in 0W-30 synthetic motor oil, then patches.

I have recently been using Hoppe's Black gun cleaner with precautions like eye protection, nitrile gloves, and forced ventilation - this stuff is powerful. it comes in what appears to be an aluminum container. The warning in tiny print - "DANGER CORROSIVE TO SKIN AND EYES causes skin burns and eye damage". I store the container in a closed zip lock bag, additional precautions would entail underwater storage. A tiny amount of this stuff will vaporize through the entire house thus I use it in the garage with open windows. Should I be forced to use this stuff inside I would wear a cartridge respirator with negative pressure (a sucking room). The Hoppe's black stuff almost immediately cleans of all crud from heavily used nylon brushes much faster than periodic washing in laundry detergent & boiling water. My really old, heavily used, rifle barrels respond well to the Hoppe's black stuff.
