California Legislature approves new tax for guns and ammo

I’m in NY and here that all the time. Can’t imagine having that attitude for your fellow countryman. I’ll keep fighting. I have all my family here, and my kingdom is not of this world. So in the end, it really doesn’t matter.
So I should consider Californians “fellow countrymen?”
When pigs fly.
Your religious connotation I’m fully in agreement with.
But you weren’t the guy hit with the pepper.
Actually, everything matters.

The last time I was in California I was hit in the left cheek with a rotten green pepper as I walked off the plane.
I remember the guys face that threw it.
He set the tone for me about California. Long time ago and I never forgot.
I couldn’t care less what happens to the entire state.
I’d rather live here in New York than California. That’s a strong statement.
Former WNYer here. You will be happy to know we have relocated all the green pepper throwing Californians to Texas and Washington.

And setting your ""Who shall separate us from the love of Christ" reference in your user ID, surely your fellow forum members should be excluded in your hatred for Californians. We are fighting the fight here every day, vote every opportunity, and dislike the California politics more than you.

People need to understand that the Democrats have changed the election process in California with mail in ballots for everything. There is clear, legally established evidence of millions of false or expired registrations in large blue counties (See e.g. Judicial Watch litigation). In addition, there have been suspiciously high turnouts (85+ %) in some counties in recent elections — numbers unlike any other states. That suggests massive voter fraud. In my own case I went to vote at my polling place and was informed that my registration had been changed by mail to Democrat and I had already voted by mail — clear fraud by a third party. I filed an affidavit to reverse the change.

I just say this because I think California might change if we had truly fair elections.

And like every other hairbrained idea Commiefornia politicians come up with, this tax won't work to prevent anything. Even if it does get to where it's designated.
Exactly! But then they will come up with another "fix" for the problem, and another, and another...

When I moved here 45 years ago, California was politically balanced (for the most part). Gun laws were non existent compared to New York, plenty of places to hunt and fish. I moved here because WNY was, and still is dying, work here was plentiful, and it paid well as it is in other popular to move to states are now.

As for the translation, Google is your friend ;-)

All the tax money will end up doing, if it makes final passage, is a salary raise for the politicians, not one penny will help security and school safety. They just will not punish the criminals, but keep doing so on a object that is not at all harmful until a PERSON misuses it.

Never been to California and hopefully never will. Those that are born & raised there and have all their ties their cannot be blamed for where they are geographically located. But, I cannot see how anyone would want to move there. And, to edit, If I did live there I would leave walking with a back pack if that's what it came down to.

I live in Connecticut for 6 months and people in California deserve what they vote for
What about the people in California that DON'T vote for it? I live in a very beautiful and conservative county. I'm not going to look up the numbers but I think I saw somewhere that we have more conservatives than most states. For the most part it's the coast cities that F everything up. What Forum Boss said about voting is the truth. I have talked with a few left of center people and none of them like what's going on. But nothing is going to change until the voting laws are straightened out.
I'm old enough to remember when California was a nice place to live.

Just hang in there. Momma said there would be days like this. You just have to put up with the WACKOS till the end.
Don't think myself or my family will be around to the end. Some think they will be "caught up" but I don't think so. Won't know for sure till it happens and when it does, we'll be too busy thinking of better things to sweat the small stuff.
Somebody else can pick up the mail and feed the cat. :D:D

Still a nice place to live. Just ignore the politicians and the lefties and take care of you and yours. Has anything they've done effected you directly?? Other than that "special blend" gasoline? Everyone else in the country pays $3.00 to $3.50 and WE get that special blend at the Special price of $5.35!!:mad:
Most of the liberals live in the Coastal areas so I keep my fingers crossed that the BIG ONE will hit and the new Coast line will be east of Sacramento and Los Angelas.
Newsom will be busy trying to take Stupid's place. He's already measured for new drapes in the oval office. And Nancy is gunna run again in 2024?? Where's Hammer Man when we need him?

Yeah, people don't realize that every county is not woke in CA.

I have property in Lake County, not far from you, and it is very conservative, IMO.

The local lumber has an FFL. Pretty nice range in Highland Springs that is owned by the Sheriff. Most of the people I've met in the area tend to be pro hunting and fishing.

That said, there's no doubt that CA has some tough times ahead. That 11% tax won't fly, but it will be in court for a few years probably.

Lots of 2A law being overturned in CA, don't kid yourself. Captain Hairdoo's days are numbered.

Lake County, where the TOOTH BRUSH was invented!! More drugs than most Pharmacies can keep on the shelf. Lower population count lets the low lives get by with a LOT of things. Out of sight, out of mind.:oops:
