Bullets going poof! Causes besides speed

You push a bullet down a barrel with a fast twist rate and the heat it makes is incredible plus it reaches that temperature VERY fast... I honestly don't know how alot of bullets don't explode out of a 1/7 twist AR platform... I seriously have gone to 1/8 with a wylde chamber if I get to choose... I have been pleasantly surprised at the accuracy difference especially with just junk 55gr plinking bullets with iron or red dots... When the barrel gives up on my scoped AR it's getting that twist and chamber over the stock 5.56....

Many years ago I bought a 300RUM and was having blowups with 210 grain Bergers. I thought I would eliminate the internet myths and ask Berger themselves. I very nice tech answers and I explain the problem. The first thing he says is "how fast are you shooting them?' 2900fps and up. "way too fast!' "what twist?" 10 twist. "Way too much twist!" "what barrel?" Factory Remington. "Way too rough of an interior finish." It was mentioned that twist and speed means little, that was the first thing he asked.

I've had 50g vmax and 55g varmageddon bullets go "poof" in a 7 twist, about 1 out 4 or 5 would go poof. The 50's work fine in a 12T and the 55g's do well in a 9T, but a no go in the 7 twist. LOL
