BULLETS.COM Wrapping up!

BULLETS.COM WRAPPING UP

Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately, the time has come for Bullets.com to be wrapped up as a business.

Some history:

I owned the URL Bullets.com for many years, and decided to have a stand alone business that dealt in shooting supplies since I am so involved in shooting. Unfortunately, the timing of the launch just over 3 years ago was not good due to the market being so hot. We were unable to buy some products (powder, primers & some shooting supplies) directly from the manufacturers and had to buy them through middlemen. Often, we were accused of gouging when the reality was that we were paying a premium, higher price to a middleman. In any case, that’s neither here nor there.

THE PLAN:

1) Bald Eagle branded products – this is our house brand with most items designed by us and brought in from overseas by ourselves. Rests, rifle cases, safes, etc. These products will be shifted to and available from Grizzly.com.

2) Bartlein Barrels – shifted to Grizzly.com

3) Manners and Keystone Rifle Stocks – shifted to Grizzly.com

4) March Scopes – March Optics is a separate company and doing very well. March Scopes will continue to be available directly from March, as well as from many dealers, including Optics Planet. March has its own personnel and you will be able to speak to a March salesperson directly.

5) Pacific Tool & Gauge – shifted to Grizzly.com

All other brands will be discontinued and sold off at or below cost. In fact, many items are already below cost and almost everything will be marked down by the end of today to get rid of stock. This is your chance to stock up on supplies of anything we carry at very good pricing. Once it is gone, it’s gone and no backorders will be taken.

SHOUT OUT TO THE FOLLOWING COMPANIES:

* Berger Bullets
– A classy company with great products and excellent people.
* Sierra Bullets – Good people, good products and easy to deal with.
* Norma – Another great company with excellent products.
* Nosler – Excellent quality products and good folks.
* Berry’s Bullets – Very good handgun bullets, and easy to deal with.
* Redding – Fantastic products, excellent to deal with.

The goal is to close down Bullets.com as a separate business. None of our employees will be lost. They will be re-allocated into some of our other larger businesses that are doing really well and growing.

No, Bullets.com is not going bankrupt! Every bill is being and will be paid as usual. The business is being shut down as it is losing money and needs to be integrated into a similar business.

Unfortunately, even though I own many businesses, Bullets.com was a specialty business that could not fully be integrated into one of the others. The products like Bald Eagle, etc., will be integrated into Grizzly.com as mentioned before.

Ultimately, the URL, Bullets.com (very valuable on its own,) will be disposed of to the right party at the right price.

We appreciate the patronage of many customers in the past and are sorry we have to take this step. Our goal is to be done by the end of March 2018.

Sincerely,

Shiraz Balolia

It has been a pleasure working with you sit. I don't see a name change changing anything. It will all work out.

Beware, they don't have a good way to keep track of what's in stock. My order was placed Mon. nite and was mostly brass and I added a few odds and ends. All showed to be in stock and I got an order confirmation. Was notified late yesterday that none of the brass I ordered was in stock, but they were processing the rest. I emailed with instructions to cancel order since the brass was the reason for the order. The reply today was that it had already been "processed" and could not be cancelled. It still hasn't shipped, so they could have cancelled it. The shipping on these small items will eat up any small savings on the "sale prices".

You are right - I was just discussing that today with the IT guys. What happens is that there is so much traffic on the site right now that multiple people may have the same thing in their carts and by the time they go check out its been processed for someone else. I just saw one item today that we had 7 in stock, and we had 47 total ordered by several people. I knew that someone's not going to be happy!

As soon as the item is sold out it is supposed to drop off the radar so others cannot see it. They are trying to fix that issue, but its a moving target due to the traffic and the multiples that people are buying. It is also a hassle for us to be cancelling the "over-orders". They are also shipping most of the orders the same day if they can and so sometimes its too late to cancel before shipment depending on where it is in the system. Not making excuses, but I wish I had a better answer. All I can say is that I am sorry for the inconvenience.[/

Myself and a friend both ran into similar situations.

As soon as the notice was posted, I ordered. My stuff is on the way. Having lost out on other similar deals, and reading the fine print on some sites about an item in your cart not guaranteed, I figured if I didn't get the order going pronto, it'd be "snooze, I lose".

me to—i figure it will be like opening a christmas present. i wont know whats in there until i open it.:) thanks shiraz for giving all these good deals to shooters

Ordered from these folks before, no problems. Sure wish I hadn't already spent my monthly bullet allotment funds. I still ordered 3 boxes of bullets. LOL.

I placed an order Monday for brass and bullets. The order shipped Tuesday, and I received it today. Fantastic service, thank you one last time! Best of luck to you and your staff moving forward. Jonathan

As word has been spread on other forums, they're getting cleaned out pretty fast. Bullets I bought are long gone.

Thank you for helping the shooting sports. I am sorry that the business was not successful. I do appreciate your trying.

Good luck in your future ventures.

I’m glad I acted fast, I went back today and everything I had ordered the first round was long gone.

I just got my bullets yesterday. Thank the gods, it's a crappy, rainy day and the wife doesn't feel like going out anywhere. I'm headed to the man cave for some R&D.

That's sad to hear. I've purchased a March scope from Bullets.com, and shipping to me in Canada was easy. A great company to deal with.

Does anyone on this forum know of what dealers other than Optics Planet carry March scopes? In the announcement, it is stated that March scopes will be available from "many dealers" (including Optics Planet). Can anyone tell me who the other dealers are?

Thanks in advance.
