Bronze brush size ??

I was wondering, in using a bronze/copper brush, what would be better for cleaning, a 6mm barrel. A .243/6mm brush or a .270 brush. ??

I use Dewey "No-Harm" 6mm / .243 caliber brushes, IF i was going to consider going up in size I wouldn't go past a .257 caliber brush size.
When the bush wears out, its time to change it out with a new one.

+1 - Dewey 243 (6mm) brushes.

We just went through this on another thread last week or so. My 6mm brushes measure .257 when new and unused. They are initially quite tight. They wear with use but I wouldn't start with a brush any larger in diameter than that.

Check brush diameter. Just because package is marked 6mm/243 doesnt make it so.

I got a bulk package of 22 centerfire brushes that measured out at .220. Works ok on rimfire.
