I just bought a old Marlin 336A off gunbroker and it arrived with a broken buttstock. The seller is willing to refund but I’m trying to find a solution that will work for both us, it’s a neat rifle in pristine condition. If I google after market Marlin stocks I see quite a few sources but most of them are semi finished, the buyer must finish the inletting and the the wood finish. I’m trying to find a source where I can buy a matching buttstock and forend that is finished and ready to install and I don’t want to buy poor qaulity. I have a few levers but I’m no expert with them, any help would be appreciated, I’m sure a few of you know a way to make this work. If I can find a decent price I think the seller would refund the $$ amount it would take to buy new stocks. Any help would be appreciated!
The original stock could be fixed but it’s broken in a way that you would always be able to tell which would bug me.
