BRDX is a shooter

it seems to shoot anything you put in it but today doing a little seating depth adjustments I think I hit on a load that may be the most accurate ammo I have evr loaded,,

got 40 more loaded to see if it was a fluke,,I am thinking not as the groups .003 longer and shorter were only slightly larger,,well under 3/4
these were about .600

That vertical is going to hurt you in a big way when you stretch it out there past 300 yards. Good shooting though ya just need to work the verticle out.

Just curious, where would you start trying to minimize the vertical. Seating depths? Small powder charge adjustments? Primers?

Start with small powder charge increments. Seating depth will get any horizontal out and neck tension and or powder charge will take care of the vertical.

Beautiful group mr.big, but I would listen to James, as this was going to be my suggestion as well. Go up 1 or 2 tenths on powder and down the same and see if the vertical tightens. Your on the edge of a killer load!!!

That target tells a story. It says that the rifle is just itching to shoot a dot of a group if you can hit the perfect tune. James is right on with the advice with regards to small powder changes or neck tension adjustment. Your goal is to get the bullet to exit a bit earlier or later to catch the vibration cycle at the perfect spot. That gun is gonna shoot.

a 1/2 inch at 300 yards and I almost have it,,LOL

I will try 32.4 32.5 and 32.6 and see how it goes,,,

I did a light clean up of my necks and with a .265 I have .001 tension,,I could get a .264 and a .263 if it will help,,but dang I never dreamed I would be trying to load ammo to shoot less than 1/2 inch at 300 yards,,

Group size will enlarge when you shoot 5. And be glad there is a trend we can help with from just 3 shots. It is difficult to "read" targets with just 3 shots. There is vertical there. I`d go less and more on powder not just more, you`ll see a trend! I also set up my neck turner so I have .0015" neck tension. You are so close don`t think in large increments, small, very small!!

mr.big it looks like we are getting the advantage of their knowledge. Let us know what you find out and happy shooting. Remember change just one thing at a time.

Pick a condition where there is little to no mirage with the same load and see what happens.

I would first get a neck bushing .001 tighter than you have and try the same load. If it still shows verticle then up the powder charge by .2 of a grain

I will try all the tips provided,,this level of accuracy is just new to me and expecting better seems crazy but I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth,,

Nice groups man! When I get a gun to shooting 5 shot groups in the .2ish moa at 300 yards I am totaly satisfied. I do not shoot competitevly though and I am sure that I have a lot to learn yet when it comes to extreme accuracy.

For those of you that are worried about the vertical, what kind of accuracy are yall expecting from a gun at 300yds?

I myself want to see sub 1/2" groups at 300

I already had my brass loaded with the 32.3 load and clean barrel,,so today I shot 5 more fire form loads to foul barrel and warm it up and shot 3 rounds of the 32.3 load at 300 again and 2 were touching side by side and one was .600 low,,

I went back in and turned my seater die down .010 and ran three rounds back through and shot those three at 300 yards,,
