Brass or Aluminum reducing inserts for Chargemaster

That was my first approach when trying to find something to work on my own unit. Its some odd ball fine metric threads and i couldnt find anything to work. The chargemasters are made in china so it makes sense. Plus there is just too much variation in the id to make it work for everyone- cost effectively anyway. Ive seen as much as .020 variances in the numbers you guys give me for ID.

THANK YOU!
I loaded 99 30BR Lapua cases with H4198 for my next match. Only had 5 errant drops!! ALL of them were .1 gr. over, which, given the way I shoot, would not make any difference on the target. MUCH BETTER RESULTS than the Mickey D straw. The insert fit perfectlly, just like it grew in there!

This is just like 'RCBS Chargemaster Adapter Tube Thingy', designed and made by David Bonwick of The Shooting SHED... £9.99

Some one pointed that out already. I guess great minds think alike. Honestly though, I had no idea. I just came up with mine a few weeks ago when I was having trouble with my straw and looked at my lathe and thought "there has to be a better way".

Except that its less than half the cost.

Hmmm. My scotch tape must be too thick. It wont even start in with one turn of tape. Tried it without tape and it just moved out wit the rotation. Don't want to use Loctite, maybe some rubber cement.

adamgst says "I'm at Raton for the benchrest match on Saturday. Been loading a day and a half and the chargemaster has not been off once! Good Work."

Thanks! Still have some available.

For the Record! I received two of these brass fittings and they "really work well" pulled out the straw and inserted the brass. Have been checking my weight with my Gempro and they are all within .05. with various powders. Thanks for making these available to us on the site. Rick

I picked one up and it turned out to be a perfect fit after giving him the measurements on my Chargemaster. No tape needed. Measured 100 loads of Varget with no issues. Good seller, product, and prompt delivery.
