Bore "Conditioner" after Cleaning

After cleaning with cooper solvent and dry patching, what do you guys recommend as a bore "conditioner" to remove any residual traces of solvent, as rust prevention and to condition the bore for the next match / string of shots. (Not speaking here of long term storage).

Do you dry patch the "conditioner" out before shooting?

A patch saturated with a good non teflon based oil, like Butches or Marvel Mystery Oil, then when ready to shoot, a loose patch to leave only a light film. I don't shoot with a dry bore, or at least one not fouled.

I use Kroil with some graphite in it for storage after cleaning. I then patch that out before shooting and put in Lock EZ and let it "dry" Then I run a clean/dry patch through before shooting. I use the Kroil with a bronze brush after shooting to loosen things up, then use Bore Tech Eliminator for cleaning.

I used to use Kroil until I discovered it turns to gum in the presence of air and it required more fouling shots than using a thin coat of oil...not to mention it reeks.

I'm "Old School" so after cleaning and drying the bore, I soak a clean patch with (Ronson) lighter fluid and push it through. It dries in a few minutes but leaves a small amount of lube. One fouling shot and you're good-to-go. For longer term - like over the winter - the last patch through has a few drops of a non-drying, light machine oil like 3 In One, sewing machine oil, or the like.

I have been using this for many, many years.
