Best 20 caliber barrel - LOL

RR, l won an auction off GunBroken for a bunch of 20cal 40gr BERGER flat base JHPs.
They are even shorter @ .605''... l am going to load a few of these 40gr Bergers, hoping they will shoot better than the 40gr VMAX l first tried

Shorter is better for the twist/SG issue. You get more margin that way, just like going to higher altitude.

ETA: Many of the lighter versions shoot very well, so nothing wrong with trying the lighter bullets.
BTW, at 0.605" are we talking 35 gr?

Wow. These are 35gr! The auction said ''40gr''. Four boxes total. 3 sealed, one open. The 3 sealed were labeled ''40gr''.Box #4 was unlabeled with 85 in it. l figured them as 40s too.
Guy they came from shot a ''20BR''. Said his gun was a real Fire Breather!! Thanks RR

I`ve got Bartlein`s, Pre fire Pac-Nor`s, and Krieger`s, all work better than advertised.

I`d like to try a Mueller works but haven`t had the opportunity yet.

If you get a 1-10", you will be able to shoot the 40's without problems. I have many barrels from many makers (mostly on high-end target rifles), though I think some manufacturers make better barrels in certain calibers. I'm particularly fond of Krieger barrels, though with that .20, I'd go with a Hart.
