Benchrest style 22lr build

Why is a left port needed? for loading, I shoot Anschutz and they can easily be loaded from the left with a right port. they have the best loading tray and is perfect for drop and close with the bolt, no hinderance there.

Annies are easy Lee, I shot a 54 based sporter for years and that had no tray but a RP Turbo is a different beast, with a smaller port. With those in widespread use a RBLP is absolutely the way to go. That said, i’m the dumb ass that just picked up a RP Turbo sporter.

I don’t want to hijack but please PM if you can help…. I’m sure some of y’all following this thread are shooting registered rimfire BR matches. I’m interested to find out more, links to a thread or to whatever organization sanctions those rimfire BR matches would be appreciated.ir5050.com

Wasn't the Eck Sporter you just sold a left port? You sold that and turned around and bought a right port?
Correct.
The port was an undeniable issue, inconvenient but not a deal breaker. I’ve owned LBRP guns before.
The seller did not know everything about my purchase and had a couple things wrong, Gordon filled in the blanks. It was well maintained and shoots very well and is “ easy” to shoot…….zero regrets. Net, net, an upgrade.
Sometimes you just get lucky.

I agree, the port is big enough to load left hand very easily sometimes too easy and I end up shooting too fast! not always good.
especially when one is trying to break the habit of chasing the condition.

The stock I want to use has a barrel channel of 1.250 and an aluminum bedding block. The barrel on the Vudoo barrel is .910. Should combination that work ok together?

I just saw Turbo is now offering the Turbo V 3 as a repeaters. The previous Turbo repeater sporter actions were all two lug I believe.

It has been a long time since they were available. Looks like they are back now updated and improved.

Here is a video of one in action. Note not only is it loading from the clip it is extracting and ejecting loaded rounds.

I think there is a 5 round clip and a 10-round clip available. Plus you can have a right or left port action.

I haven't actually seen one but if you have, please let us know what you think.

Wonder if it would extract if he closed the bolt

Very interesting. What kind of magazines does it require? I'll stop there with my other questions and do you the courtesy of visiting your website. But still want to say ... very interesting. And thanks for your interest in developing new products for us.

I think I read they take savage Magazines

I think it would depend on chamber dimensions.
The chamber in the barrel used in the video has our standard BR chamber with our standard amount of bullet engraving. The cartridge protrudes approximately 0.140” from the face of the barrel at first contact with the lead of the chamber.

Yes it’s easier to find a gunsmith than a gunsmith that also does stock work. The reason I asked is because I noticed that Voodoo sells complete rifles and some of the options include BR stocks, so Voodoo would do that part for you. I’m guessing that would include a long wait time but sometimes you get lucky.

I've probably sold 20 or 30 Revolution benchrest stocks to guys using them with the Voodoo barreled action package. People come back and buy more than one usually.
