Oven cleaner does a great job . So does the house cleaner . Bathroom cleaner . Some times she cleans my guns also .

This is what I do: use a loose fitting patch soaked in Kroil. Run it through the barrel several strokes so it leaves a coating of Kroil. Let it sit for a couple of days. It will penetrate under the carbon ring between the ring and the steel of the barrel. Then push a patch soaked with your favorite bore cleaner, I use Butch's Bore Shine, through the barrel. Any carbon will literally come out the end of your barrel in round forms on the end of the patch.
