Bag alignment !

He's looking, he's concentrating, he's reading the wind, and he's managing the trigger and reloading all in symphony. It's like the first time you learned to drive a manual transmission. Managing the clutch and gas and brakes, and then you're on a hill and having to get going, and everything just took so long and so much care to get it all to kinda half work. Meanwhile, your parents just hop in an zoom off, shifting, working the clutch, all of it without a hitch or any sign of delay or pause. Same thing.

I understand what your saying , but you’ll go through a box of 50 in what , 10 minutes ? Lol .

I’ll have to watch it again but I didn’t see any adjustments to the rest going on so he must have tracking set up perfectly !

These rudders look interesting but im wondering if they would help much when shooting for score instead of group?

Im also curious how they are mounted and adjusted ?

Are they adjusted every match? Im assuming the would need to be adjusted for different benches?

If the front of the stock is not parallel to the rear of the stock it will always come off the x under recoil. This has nothing to do with the bag setup. Assuming a bag spacing of 30", a .001" deviation in the stock will move the cross hair 1.2" on a 1000 yard target. You cant make stocks that good, so you use the rudder to fine tune them. Tracking is mostly to help you shoot faster, but even in score shooting, the less time you spend adjusting the rest the more time you can use to watch conditions.

Lets talk more about the bag fill, I now have the gun tracking pretty good but not great, the stock is the 5/8" and so is the bag, so now do I need to work on taking sand out of the ears? Bag? what am I looking for? Remember this is my first year at this so help me out here. Not sure if I'm going to get to go to Dixon Springs, TN this weekend (have pneumonia that I'm getting over) or go Sunday to BGSL but going to try and shoot somewhere.
