At what point is a RAD worth it?

I have one on my .308 ftr rifle and I really love it. My backup ftr rifle doesnt have it and I shoot just fine without it, but I like the way it shoots with it on. Its pretty subtle difference though even on lightest setting. The only downside that i can see is that it makes making weight harder. At least in ftr.
