Naw, wait till word gets out that RBG has been dead for a couple years and they’re doing the Weekend At Bernie’s thing with her. If we thought the Kavanaugh nomination turned into a circus, can you imagine what’s going to happen when Trump gets to put another Conservative judge on there? I’d hate to be on the short list. It is not about "assault weapons" it is about guns. They don't want you to have guns of any kind. Black rifles are just an easy target.
I do not trust the republicans in the senate. Look at how they could have achieved real progress but chose not to do so. It is NOT a slam dunk that it will die in the senate, take nothing for granted.
I also do not think the prices are going to go up, at least not like they did with the potential for Hillary getting elected. There is just so much supply out there and so many people over did it in the several earlier panics.

in the big picture of this thread it is not politics it's about our rights. To me the political part is just the nut jobs trying to push this thru. In the end this is a firearms forum .... so this thread looks pretty relevant to me.

Other thoughts, Judge Ginsburg is studying notes that she wrote on her hand with a ball point pen. Every chauffer that transports celebrities, powerful politicians, elite (nobility), needs to be armed. Nobody is above the law. Senator Feinstein only texted. Never waste a tragedy.

I drove behind an asalt truck this am while driving to work. It was horrible to watch it lay down a fully automatic cascade of uncountable salt bullets as I drove. Way way to many for my truck to avoid. Now that me and my truck have been asalted rust is creeping in and eventually will put me into financial ruin when I need to replace rusted parts and the truck.
Most of the state level assault weapon bans use a pistol grip as a criteria.
The thorsden replaces the evil pistol grip with an acceptable 'sporter style stock' so now the rifle with the exact same firepower is not an AW.
To any rational person this shows that the definition of assault weapon is ridiculous.
To DF and compatriots it means they add another clause on top of the existing stupidity.

After reading the above article, it stated that a threaded barrel would become illegal to own. Now I'm gona have to take my tuner off of my new Bat rifle just so I can be legal. Man between the house the senate, open F class and IBS.... All these rules are getting hard to remember. Lol...

Things appear to be sliding from bad to worse. Reading Senator Murphy's statement - "Military-style assault rifles are the weapons of choice for mass murderers. There's just no reason why these guns, which were designed to kill as many people as quickly as possible, are sold to the public"
Then we have, "the right of the people (public?) to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" The common, accepted, ordinary MSR/AR rifle of millions in circulation would be the logical part of any well regulated militia necessary to the security of a free state. What about a total breakdown of society - no immediate or readily available LE, national guard, military and predation by savages or evil government? It happens periodically when 10's of thousands are killed off or removed. This protective militia could/would be well regulated by those having combat experience either as officers or NCO's. Would some degree of parity be needed?
