As a kid, what gun did you dream of owning?

It was either the M-61 Win or the Browning 22 auto and they were usually side by side in the rack. The display racks were built into openings in the wall and no counter so you get close enough to breath on them. That was about 65 years ago at Montgomery Ward. Hardware was in the basement and as soon as we got into the store I would make a break for the steps. The family always knew where to find me when they were ready to go.

Perazzi TMX Special. When I could afford one, all I could find were ones that had been choked and/or ported by some clown in a garage. I did trade for an MX15 much later.

I forgot to add a browning TBolt 22, made in belgium! The real early ones. i think I was in the 7 or 8 grade. never got one, never even fired one. Later, I wanted a browning trombone, 22. i could have bought one and i should have.

Wire out the shooters Bible lusting after a Marlin 39 Golden a. Finally sold out my hogs and bought one. $127 cash! I've used it so much it's a part of me, and is one of my favorite guns. That being said, number two was a 541s. Never could gather the chips for one until in my forties, and by then they were the 541T. Bought a heavy barrel model and it shoots as good as my anschutzes! I'll die with both unless I hand em to a grandson before then

Wanted a Win lever action 30 30 and a peace maker.
it took me 50 years to realize how nice a peace maker and Win. is. I lived a sheltered life! funny how we all come to appreciate quality machinery at different stages in our life. HK 91 just as nice as peace maker II Gen is.

absolutely.

You're talking about age 15 when I lusted for a Luger my maternal grandfather brought home from WW1. Although I made it very clear and very often that I would like to have it, my grandmother called the police shortly after Pop-Pop died and handed it to the first cop that came to the door~!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr~!!!
