As a kid, what gun did you dream of owning?

Colt Python. Even before I knew anything about guns, I aways thought it was the coolest looking firearm ever made. Still like them. Finally bought a new five-inch barrel Python about six months ago.

M1 Garand, post WW2 movies and TV shows bolstered my desire for that rifle. When I got it, I showed it to my Dad. “Yeah he said I slept with it for 2 years during WW2.”
I have one now and enjoy shooting and competing with it.

Ah, yes, I had a passion to buy a 870 Special field 20 GA. Forgot about that infatuation. Oh, wait! Hmm, there is a lonesome 1100 20 ga Special Field in my rack! Now wonder where that came from!? Sadly, I got it after my legs quit wanting to carry my carcass out to grouse hunt. Maybe Ill go to the skeet field or out for doves sometime. That short 23 inch barrel won't swing, but it will poke!

The little Winchester pump gallery gun. Every county fair that came to town had them to shoot. Was shooting since i was 3, so at 5 I would shoot them and win a rabbit for my mother, but never owned one of the little pump hammer guns of my own. Every single one I have ever seen for sale for many decades was in poor condition, like they were used in a carnival or fair. So me being persnickety about my guns, never bought one of the junkers. I figure one day, a nice one will show up.
