Anyone shooting 260 Remington still ?

I dont know, I thought the 260 was a longer case then Creedmoor
base (308 vs 22-250)
2.960 would leave little left in the case - may work best for the 156 Berger if you are loading OAL that long
---------
Edit:
I just measured a 6.5 Creedmoor with 140 Eld-M
OAl is 2.693"
Im loading wildcats 7 SAW and 25 SAW to 2.925" which has a longer neck. But just a thought.
Case length
SAW is 2.010"
260 is 2.025"

BTW I might add here, the reason I spec'd out a custom shorter than normal freebore is
The gun I was builing was going to be fed from mags, not single loaded
so they NEEDED to be OAL to fit into a magazine
Plus I wanted to be able to reach the lands
2.860" was the maximum alloweable
When it was all said and done, my accuracy load was 2.820" OAL
2.835" I believe was just touching the lands

My wife's 260 likes 139 Lapua scenars (yes, they're old) over a stout load of N150. Prints very tight groups. When she was shooting F class I bought a few thousand of those bullets and a couple of spare Shilen barrels.
Important to keep the wife happy.
I've shot some nice groups with the 136 139 scenars never had a bad group impressed by scenars actually impressed myself:D

I could get a throating tool from 4D reamer rentals and add freebore. I have done this to one barrel. Im no gunsmith but I have an idea what im doing.
I dont know what equipment you may have, although I might offer there are some throating tools that have an adjustable stop built into them, vs a simple reamer.
That may be something to look into
When throating, it can be very easy to go too far, since it cuts in the bore so easily
When I throat, I like to throat for a certain bullet that I will be using.
Everything gets planned out based on OAL and Base to Ogive.
Since, being able to touch the lands offers the best starting point for a seating depth test when developing a load.
Additionally, if you cant reach the lands, then you are prevented from ever stuffing the bullet into the lands for additional testing.

Thanks for the advice. I plan on renting a throating reamer with the stop. Also do plan on using a oal case with the bullet i will be using. I seem to take small bite and double check to make sure im not going to far. I will only do this if I feel like I want to shoot past 140's.
