He was my hero too! My sons middle name is Clark, you can guess what his first name is.Whoo! Memories from my youth! The Flying Scot Jimmy and one of his rides! Thanks for posting this, sorrt I missed it before now!
I've always loved what ACB Chapman gave to the world. Lotus Cars inspired a lot of dreams of mine as I was growing up, Jimmy Clark was my hero!

A little too dear ever to be contemplated sitting in my driveway, an Elan S2 my third year in high school retailed for $4,226.00.
(I did test drive one once though at a dealership in Lake Forest Illinois.)
In today's inflated US $$ that's just $33,666.00, more than I've ever spent on daily transport.
(Learned of the passing last weekend of Sir Stirling Moss, another racing great from those days.)
I had not heard of Sir Moss’ passing. He sure packed a lot into those 90 years!!! I saw him at a USRRC race at Continental Divide Raceway in August 1963. He wasn’t racing, but acting more in a promotional role. I can still remember my dad raving about his abilities. Gurney and Moss were his favorites.
