Richard Childress was a long-time director on the NRA board. He was, IIRC, First VP and could have been President but he left when other notables such as Tom Selleck resigned. Evidently Mr. Childress was not a LaPierre man.

Fellas....One million rounds is only symbolic. That amount
of ammo would only last in less then a mad minute. If there
was a 25,000 man Army, that amount of ammo would equate
to one 40 round mag per soldier. I applaud the intent, but
needs several hundred more like him to add to the count.
Get one of those Turkish drones and fly it in Childress color's.
Nothing like a little nose art to make a real statement.

Was doing inventory the other day , and when I got to the shelf with all my 7.62 x 39 , I looked at all those little Black Wolf boxes that had "Made in Ukraine" on them . Thought ; Boy they sure need this a whole hell of a lot more than I do . I know a couple thousand rounds aren't a lot , but it would be better in their hands now , than on my shelf . Yet I have no doubt that if individual American gun owners would attempt to collect and make a mass shipment of ammo to those Patriots , Our own Govt. would interfere , cause that's the way "THEY" roll .
I hope it's the 12.7 Deshka ammo.

A snowball has more of a chance in hell than that happening. Notably silent aren't they other than lofty words of encouragement. This is a case when the pen is NOT mightier than the sword!!!
