I have 2 Henry's one brass one steel both in 45 colt. Both carbines with the big loop lever. The brass one is a bit on the heavy side. With the heavy octagon barrel. The Big Boy steel is my close range deer rifle. They both will put 300g XTPs in 2 inch circle at 100 if my eyes are focusing good. The newer models are available with the side load gate into the tube magazine. I would think that would be handy for unloading instead of running them all through the action. The actions are on the short side. 255 g factory loads are about max length to run. In the actions. I reload the 300g Xtps. They are the ones that have 2 crimp rings and I have to use the front one to get them to work
