Anybody got any cool non shooting habits?

That reminds me. Recently discovered Sporting Clays. Fricking love it. Try to make it out whenever F Class matches don't interfere. I'm shutdown for a bit but come the middle of January or so I'm going to be hitting people up to go for a round regardless for the temps or the depth of snow.
Right when COVID started I started with the shotgun stuff.... Ammo was disappearing but shotgun was still there , primers , powder and shot was stacked deep so I got a MEC size master and started with the 1oz 12ga loads for skeet... I actually loaded some 9 mm on my Dillon the other day for the first time in basically years and had to stop and think about what I was doing....

Now shot has skyrocketed again in price and I am going to sit down and decide weather I want to keep reloading or just shoot junk academy shells.... I sure like having premium shot etc but I will save it and shoot crap shells if it's a cheaper option.... Something else I did when all this crap started was buy a Glock 44 in .22lr... It mimics the Glock 19 which I daily carry except for the weight... Now I shoot it and then maybe 10-15 9mm at the end just to stay good with the recoil and it makes a box last 4-5 trips....

I seriously need to get some more pistol time in and even some rifle... All I have been shooting is AR and AK because I have plenty of spare ammo for them... The AK. I have a half a Wally world bag of ammo I would normally throw out because of one thing or another..I sure am glad I was to lazy to throw that stuff out.... It's shot fine over the last few years and I don't care about shooting it up...

I also cook, southern NC BBQ mostly but occasionally whip up a 5 star meal. Not that anyone around here appreciates that 'cept me. I also track. Used to do it a lot for guys that couldn't shoot. Was in martial arts for years and pay for it every day. I am also a trained illustrator and don't do half bad work.

That's because I'm older, meaner, probably more willing to cheat : )

There's a 62 Qb 409 block and matching 690 heads in this oil filled barrel. Also have matching 881 dual quad intake. It's lived here since 1994.View attachment 1302747
Really cool. One year only and hard to find. My car isn't an original 409 car, I was at the 409 Shoot Off at National Trails here in Ohio a few years ago. Was talking to Bob Walla, he had blown his race engine and put a 409/409 engine in his Purple Region Rat 64 to make an appearance. Found out it was an original low mileage 62 QB engine he had stored away. It had 63 valve covers and was running a single four intake but he still had the original snowflake dual quad intake. Took awhile to locate a correct set of silvery/gray dripper valve covers. It was cast in April and my car was built in May, pretty close matchup. Great guy, really smart with 409s and is making aluminum blocks/heads. I really need to get back on that car. Chassis done but body still on rotisserie.

I've raced at National Trails a few times. Nice track. I've known Bob for probably 10 years and am running his heads. FYI There will be probably over 30 409/348 cars at Dragway 42 July 8-10 Bob will be there.

I made a mistake, it was at Thompson Raceway Park where I talked to him that year.
