my other passion is voluntary military reserve work, similar as your national guard.
In this picture we are shooting with 23mm dual AA-gun, just a little bit better than ordinary rifle :D

And of course renowating home, cooking...old motorcycles and tractors.
Näytä hyvältä, tee hyvää!

I also cook, southern NC BBQ mostly but occasionally whip up a 5 star meal. Not that anyone around here appreciates that 'cept me. I also track. Used to do it a lot for guys that couldn't shoot. Was in martial arts for years and pay for it every day. I am also a trained illustrator and don't do half bad work.
Have a Grandson in Asheville that is a cook, fly fisherman, and likes a good tussle. He loves to hunt. Trouble is work has him all over, NY, New Jersey, Illinois, Kentucky, NC, SC, Georgia, & Virginia.

I've got too many danged hobbies....can't seem to get out of any but always picking up new ones. The most recent one I'm getting into is euro mounts on deer and coyote skulls through the maceration process. Other hobbies are fly fishing, fly tying, "regular" fishing, ice fishing, boating, deer hunting, coyote hunting, trapping, wood turning, tinkering with electronics, camping, playing the acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, and occasionally playing the trumpet. Would love to get into machining someday, either with a lathe or CNC. Would also like to get into 3D printing.

I've always wanted a Euro Yote skull, got any pics?

My first one is in the middle of maceration right now...flesh is being decomposed off the skull. Then it goes into the degreasing step to pull grease from the skull before it gets whitened. Shoot me a message in a month or two if you remember, should have some pics then. Have an acquaintance that has 30+ more coyote skulls for me to work on, so I should be pumping out a bunch of them in 2022.

I had a mid life retirement as well. I’m a building contractor that does mainly public school construction and high end commercial. From 2007-2011 there was no state funding for school construction and no one, and I mean no one was doing high end private commercial building ( banks, dental and medical) which we also do. So with two kids headed off to out of state college ( that I told them since they were in kindergarten we would pay for) I bought my first ocean fishing boat and spent 09 & 10 fishing. I figured if I couldn’t buy a job I might as well do something I always wanted to do once I retired. Then once the Great Recession was over I’d just get back to work. My daughter is the best fisherman I know. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made, unless you ask my wife

My main hobbies are mountain racing, snow skiing and going hard at the gym. It gets hard to fit shooting in there but I still manage.

I just bought another gun. Buying isn’t shooting.

So what did you get?
Well hopefully you bought one that is a caliber that you can find ammo, have ammo or reloading supplies for.
Some calibers you can find on the shelf but not so good for reloading supplies.

It’s a 6Dasher Barrel on a Sport Co 3 lug action in a Martin prone stock. I have plenty of brass and components. I only need time.
