Right when COVID started I started with the shotgun stuff.... Ammo was disappearing but shotgun was still there , primers , powder and shot was stacked deep so I got a MEC size master and started with the 1oz 12ga loads for skeet... I actually loaded some 9 mm on my Dillon the other day for the first time in basically years and had to stop and think about what I was doing....That reminds me. Recently discovered Sporting Clays. Fricking love it. Try to make it out whenever F Class matches don't interfere. I'm shutdown for a bit but come the middle of January or so I'm going to be hitting people up to go for a round regardless for the temps or the depth of snow.
Now shot has skyrocketed again in price and I am going to sit down and decide weather I want to keep reloading or just shoot junk academy shells.... I sure like having premium shot etc but I will save it and shoot crap shells if it's a cheaper option.... Something else I did when all this crap started was buy a Glock 44 in .22lr... It mimics the Glock 19 which I daily carry except for the weight... Now I shoot it and then maybe 10-15 9mm at the end just to stay good with the recoil and it makes a box last 4-5 trips....
I seriously need to get some more pistol time in and even some rifle... All I have been shooting is AR and AK because I have plenty of spare ammo for them... The AK. I have a half a Wally world bag of ammo I would normally throw out because of one thing or another..I sure am glad I was to lazy to throw that stuff out.... It's shot fine over the last few years and I don't care about shooting it up...
