Anybody buy a lottery ticket?

Lotteries are the way politicians get money out of people that pay little to no taxes. Yeah, I bought some.

I can see this scenario happen to a lucky winner.
Him: "Hey honey, I hit the lottery! Pack your bags"!
Her: "That's fantastic. How much did we win and where are we going"?
Him: "We're not going anywhere, you are". :D
yeah she would be leaving with 1/2 the lottery winnings or so.

I dropped a 10 spot on it, I don't expect to win, but they have that funny rule about not winning if you don't buy a ticket, so.............

Would hire a secretary to handle the calls and get the mail from the P.O. box the size of an outhouse:eek:Other duties would be to read mail and file it in 13 bin ( a converted silo). Also a few other “miscellaneous” Duties:)
Note to self: Hire a big bunch of deserving exmilitary guys to take care of security.

A tax on dummies....
I understand your feelings on this. But since I know the odds are 1 in 254,000,000 and I bought two tickets. One yesterday and one today. I know I am not likely to win or break even. But you can not say that you have not pissed a way far more money of a shooting related gizmo that is now stuck in a drawer, tossed in the trash or given to someone else to aggravate... I know I won't win but I can not dream if I don't buy an e-ticketfor the ride.

At Little River Casino for our anniversary weekend and the wife's doing great. Just went out and bought a bunch of tickets. Figure if she's a winnin at the casino, maybe she'll do the same in the mega millions. I suck at gambling so I'm watching her win. My money goes into more fun stuff.

2 bucks is cheap entertainment.
Hunting property in Texas and Wisconsin are on the list.
500 yards would be plenty at this time, but room for a mile would be available.

I’ve been spending every last dime I make on my new 6BRA build. No money left for lottery tickets. On and on and on it goes!

A bunch of people at work were pitching in $4 each to pool together a bunch of tickets.

Do I think we’ll win? No. But when you consider the “what if”? There was no way in hell I was going to be the only idiot still working there (over $4) while everyone else called in rich.

Have a friend that meets the boys for breakfast at the local truck stop almost every morning. Got finished and went to pay his bill. Bought a couple of Lottery "scratcher" Tickets with his change. Gave them a good look and told the waitress "I think I have a winner". She said "sure you did" but checked anyway and sure enough, he won 1 Million $$. Just so happened he had sold some property a few days before so he didn't need any $$. Last I heard he was living in Vietnam or someplace over there. Got some young chickie babe to take care of his needs and clean up after him. Last time I saw him, he had lost a BUNCH of weight and looks at least 20 years younger. Been a while since I've seen him so my bet is he's probably dead by now. Must have died with a BIG GRIN on his face.:D

A little off topic but, You win BIGGGG $$$$$ at the Lottery and have friends/family with financial problems, you give them $$$ to take care of their problems, what's to say they won't be in that same financial position again in the near future???? You still give?

You don’t give lump sums because they will be in the same situation again. Emotional and financial intelligence, some will never grasp.
