I might not win tho...lol
I believe Kelbly's have a stock and the Anschutz Custom Shop will pillar bed it for you.Send it to Mark Penrod. Have him put on a Shilen Ratchet barrel and a Harrels tuner, and tune it up.
You'll be competetive! Check with him on what kind of stock you'll need.
Butch, where do you shoot? Are non-members welcome? We do have a few CZs, 40X, 52s, 37s, and others.
True, but the ammo is only one part of the equation to winning. There are many parts to the equation. In rimfire competition, the right ammo can put you on top, but finding the right lot is always a major effort. If you do find that lot make sure you buy several cases!
Haven’t shot 22’s in 20 years, kinda getting back into it for fun ( not serious registered matches). I see new stuff out like vudoo etc, can my old 64 action hang with these guns of today or is this a excuse to get another gun![]()
Sure, shoot what you have. I have heard Vudoo owner say, their Anschutz's will out shoot their Vudoo's. Try some of the newer ammo and see how it does.1903 action , factory 25 ish inch barrel, 5098 trigger, in a 3 inch wide factory br stock bedded by Anschutz custom shop. Not top tier but it’s a nice rifle.
I wish mine was left bolt left port for bench work. That’s a nice setup. This 64 action has made several V guns cry! You will have no problems.View attachment 1316505View attachment 1316507
You have good components. 5098 is a decent trigger. Bedded by Anschutz should be a big bonus. For the type of shooting you say you will participate in, your rifle should do quite well. But, finding the right ammo and having a good rest will make a positive impact. Spend your money on the best-for-your-rifle ammo and practice time. Only other thing you might purchase is a tuner. You will be competitive. HAVE FUN!!I wish mine was left bolt left port for bench work. That’s a nice setup.
