Another Range record falls today…! 600-51x! TimmyV

Thanks to many! Unpossible (as I'm told it's said in Arkansas) to name everyone that helped set this range record, but here's a short list.

@Alex Wheeler for not only cutting great chambers and barrels, but as a mentor/advisor having me look at my shooting through a new lens, and challenging some of my system’s previously established status quo's.

Bartlein Barrels @FrankG and that whole crew for making exceptional barrels, literally capable of breaking records, especially when as shooters, we've done the right work to get the most out of them.

Deon Optics for making incredible optics that continue to raise the bar.

Berger Bullets, these latest lots of 215s and 180s have been shooting outstanding and better than ever as others have told me, and I’m seeing for myself.

Bayou Rifles Club @NA Woody, for such an incredibly talented and stacked Club, that drives you to load/ practice/prep for local club matches like they are mini National Events every month.

And lastly to my Teammates, talk about having some aces in your corner, help keep you on track, or get you back on track should you get lost. Extra special thanks to Norm @Rope2horns, Fonz @dskogman, and Brandon @Brandon Z .

Da’ Guns
Match 1 was BRMXD/McMillan Zrail/Ezell/March HM/Bix/Bartlein 300WSM 215 Berger Hybrids chambered by my Teammate Brandon Zwahr.

Match 2 was BATM/McMillan KestroR/Ezell/March Majesta/Bix/Bartlein 7 PRCW 180 Berger Hybrids spec’d and chambered by @Alex Wheeler .

Match 3 was the BRMXD 300WSM again.

Lucky Lucky Lucky.

For “new” shooters, or those interested in giving this a go, or those with a dusty rifle, that need a nudge to get back out there.. Here's some pictures, the first two I’m hoping set the hook and push you to give Bayou or your local club match a go.

1st one is of the BRMXD (my first F-O rifle) after the Bayou Club 600 Championship in March of 2018.

2nd one is the same rifle, 5 years and dozens of barrels later.

The power of a Club and Teamwork within that club can’t be overemphasized. Collaboration within a team/club will move mountains for you, that otherwise you may not on your own.

3rd is of the 7-6.5 PRCW headstamped brass that’s being tested for Wheeler Accuracy. No 6.5 neck up, subsequent donut, moderate pressure levels (<2940), no clickers, 4x on brass thus far.

The rest of the pics are hoping it plants the seed to get your parts, get your gun built, and get you out shooting with your Club. I'll try to be the first to shake your hand after your 600-52+

Ambassador Timmy Vaught! Great shooter and maybe a better ambassador to the sport. Congrats again buddy! You're doing everything right, especially the tuner part. Lol!

Tim,
What is that sticking out of the bottom, between the rails of the Kestros R stock?

Congratulations to Timmy Vaught who crushed another range record today at Bayou Rifles 600 yard FOpen record. Bettered his own previous record of 600-49 today with a brilliant 600-51x. 18,17,16x matches respectively…. Well earned and deserved by one of the hardest working guys in the game. Congratulations buddy..! That was an amazing day. Wished I had been there to celebrate in person.

What cartridge?
Dave

Curios as to if you ever had to touch the tuner on that day(s). The targets show very little if any change or you stayed right on top of it well. Either way...you da man!
