If you are a competition shooter, you might want to make sure the Berger clones are using J-4 jackets and if Sierra clone....the sierra jacket!
Those are now going to be offered in 500 and 3000 round boxes of sequential production. They added the 109 ELDM too.Hornady has always said the are a "bullet making company"
They do have a large US production capability and maybe seen
their sales slip in certain categories.
Hopefully they have improved the jackets and will give Berger a run for their money.
They usually are a cheaper priced bullet.
So if they shoot well and hold up, maybe we won't run out of bullets
in the future. Win win.
What's going to happen to the ELD-M line?
They just redesigned the tips of those.
innovation is everything ….
Nah. May be a sound business choice. Not very much new is new at all.Isn't copying your competitors products a lack of innovation?
I would think if Berger is selling bullets to another bullet company they would tell them you can’t sell them cheaper than we do. But who knows guess we will see
What's going to happen to the ELD-M line?
There not copying anyone, copying is a “loose” term most industries feed off of one another sometimes small sometimes large, but in this case they’re in control of their own ship…Isn't copying your competitors products a lack of innovation?
And no 30 cal 200's?No 7mm 180’s?
Something tells me this is going to be another source of target bullets, not a more economical source.
If a Chinese vendor on Alibaba or Temu started doing this, copying Berger bullets, would you all feel the same way?
If the foreign manufacturer paid the OEM's to license the designs, and produced a quality product, why would we feel differently?
