Aeromatch Bullets for high volume shooters

Hornady has always said the are a "bullet making company"
They do have a large US production capability and maybe seen
their sales slip in certain categories.
Hopefully they have improved the jackets and will give Berger a run for their money.
They usually are a cheaper priced bullet.
So if they shoot well and hold up, maybe we won't run out of bullets
in the future. Win win.

What's going to happen to the ELD-M line?
They just redesigned the tips of those.
Those are now going to be offered in 500 and 3000 round boxes of sequential production. They added the 109 ELDM too.

I would think if Berger is selling bullets to another bullet company they would tell them you can’t sell them cheaper than we do. But who knows guess we will see

Who’s going to be the first to post group comparisons? Now that’s something we will all click on.

It can’t be a team member that uses Berger or Sierra, or Gavin Gear - the Hornady team lol.

But, wouldn’t a double blind test be intriguing? Where is Keith when we need him.

If the new bullets were true clones at less money and more availability, that would be pretty innovative, although to make that happen the innovations are behind the walls, but that’s still a form of innovation.

Berger isn't selling these through Hornady. They're allowing Hornady to produce copies of their bullets, to the same design. Hornady gets to set their prices and margins in that case, less the input inherent to the additional licensing costs.

All bets are that the Aeromatch bullets will be priced above the ELD-M, which Hornady will be able to justify based on the "sequential packaging" of the AeroMatch bullets, much like the A-tips. Bets so far are a slight reduction in price compared to the original manufacturers, but I have not compared the ELD-M's vs. SMK's to see if there's enough room to make that happen.

What it really appears to be doing is repairing for Hornday, with a MASSIVE acceleration, the fact several of their BTHP's just aren't competitive. 75 Hornady BTHP's, 105 BTHP's - why are the 77SMK and 105 Hybrid so much better performers? How would Hornady introduce new versions of these bullets, against the same "gold standards" in their respective classes, and meet or beat those gold standard bullets? So now they have a new version of BTHP's which they can offer as semi-bespoke competition bullets (which makes the average Joe a lot more interested in buying a 500 round box than they were otherwise), and have a bunch of competitive guys touting that they load and shoot exactly the same...
