ADG 300 wsm brass testing

@rhovee can you tell us what type rifle you will be using for this test, hunting type repeater with standard reamer or a single shot type with custom reamer? Powder, primer also? Just curious and thank you very much for sharing
I will be shooting this in a hunting rifle made by Alex Wheeler. It’s a Defiance action, Bartlien barrel and min saami chamber. Both RL23 and H4831sc are on the menu with 210 vld. Barrel is 26”. Testing will be 2 shot ladder at 600 with E target for initial testing. Once brass has been fired I will come back and shoot groups.

This answers my question as to why you all are now pursuing this cartridge, knowing that the 300 Saum currently runs the same node as the WSM.
Should have known it was directly tied to Norma brass since I’m running it in my 7saum.
Gonna try ADG’s offering soon to see if I can get RL23 and or H1000 up to that ~3015 node without the brass yielding. Can only hit the ~2920 one now...
The reason I staterd doing the 300 saum imp was to be able to use the ADG brass. It will actually run a higher node than the wsm, but now the wsm will get there too with this brass. I still like the case design of the saum imp better, I do not think any of the guys on the saum imp will be switching back but this brass will be great for anyone that already has a wsm.

Will they be making, .270 WSM Brass,.. does anyone, know ???
My Rem Brass, is starting to "give up, the Ghost", on Pr. Pockets after,.. 6-7 Firings !

What velocity node are you getting to?

Made it out today to try out the wsm brass and the new silver mountain target. Made a few errors with starting a new target and not needing my sighters anymore.
Anyways the brass has been very excellent. This is from a 26” barrel, 210 vld, RL23, BR2 primers.
between 66.6-66.9 shot very good for me at 600. From my 600 yard velocity I’ll be about 2900 FPS. This is the upper node for this powder. ADG brass had no problems with this load and the rifle has shot the best ever.

Everything from ADG has been proven excellent. Not a bad word out there on any of their offerings so I don’t see why the 300 WSM brass would be any different. Yes it will make accurate ammo, yes it will handle more pressure, yes it is very consistent dimensionally, etc...Same as all their other offerings. No doubt ADG has proven to be in the same class with Lapua. Any new offerings from Lapua you don’t really question quality or strength. You just buy it.
I think at this point there’s been enough testing on ADG brass that no doubt people can do the same. No reason to question it for quality and strength, just buy it and have confidence it will be excellent brass

Who are some of the main retailers for ADG?

.ADG brass had no problems with this load and the rifle has shot the best ever.

I am having the same experience in my 338-375R using necked up 300 PRC brass from ADG. Able to charge with weights that were never possible using Hornady 375 Ruger brass and the rifle is shooting more accurately than it ever has before.

Thanks guys

Best way to get ADG brass is to place back orders. Then when it’s shipped to retailers you can have your orders filled.

This company is the largest retailer for ADG. They usually get it first. It sells fast.

I made some revisions on my 300 NMI reamer design (went no turn neck and a few other tweaks) and for the 3rd rifle I ordered 100 pieces of 300 Norma ADG brass. Used Lapua brass in my last two 300 NMIs and although they shot good, I want to see if ADG will give me any improvement with accuracy over Lapua. Will test both brands of brass side by side in loads in the new rifle to determine which route to go

It’s been very good brass. The bullet central sizing die is working correctly on the web. Brass is holding up very well.
