Add weight to balance stock ?

I've done a couple of Savage stocks for guys that were Butt-end heavy . Used Lead shot from shotgun shells and epoxy , in the forearm area . Improved the gun-handling and accuracy of both rifles .

Best solution I have found, assuming you have hollow space, or make one, I use simple modeling clay and pack some lead slugs in there. Clay is dead material, won’t resonate, nothing sloppy, and all easily removable should you wish.

So is the thinking that all rifles benefit from being balanced? Probably a daft question but not one I've really thought about just shooting off a bipod and rear bag.

I'm curious too. I know there are a number of experienced shooter here and I would like to know if there is a general thought on a center gravity.
