My dad had a ffl in the 70s and 80s. The remington 700 , on average , shot better groups than most. Sold alot of them. Doug
Honestly, those were the last 3 shots of that load that I fired out of his rifle. I tried 3 other brands, but nothing grouped as well as the Remington Core Lokt, and he happened to have 3 boxes of it. I don't have a picture of the first 2 shots on the target, but I believe they were well within an inch of each other. Based on what I remember of those 2 shots, the first adjustment I made, where the 3rd shot hit, and the last adjustment that I made (vertical adjustment only), I'd say that group isn't terribly far from the average of what that rifle was capable of with that ammo. Everything just tracked exactly as I would expect it to.How many times were you able to get a group like that? I have seen many excellent groups by a rifle, but never able to do it again.
