TSX BULLET USED ON DEER!

+1 for the tsx...... Ive shot a 165# deer and 200+# pig with a 45g tsx out of a 22-250 and am pleased with the results. The buck was shot in the base of the neck at 330yd and drt, with a pass through, pig was drt to a 130yd head shot with no pass through but didnt want to recover the bullet bad enough to mess with it. On a side note they seem to shoot really well also but are noticably longer than a lead core bullet in the same weight and some might have trouble stabilizing the same weight bullet as they would a lead core. My beater yote rifle will shoot a 55g vmax at about 3/8"moa and a 55tsx at 1" with my best load. I had to go down to a 45g to get it to shoot tight again. I am anxious to see how they do for me in a 308win.

If you can get them to shoot, they kill like nothing else....if you can get them to shoot.

As Barnes say you need that fast twist i.e. 8 or better. They are heaven sent for my mate.People rubbish them when it is their twist which is too slow. :P

Don't know how many animals shot to date w/ TSX, ut the only bullets recovered have been fro a kudu, and eland and a wildebeast. All the rest on deer and elk are somewhere in the landscape marking the start of short blood trails. In our area farms are lot large and very heavy cover is nearby, so a good blood trail can mean the difference between recovery or loss. No losses wTSX yet.
